Ratnanagar Jaycees along with Ratnanagar Ward No. 4 Ward Office jointly organized an awareness program on Mental Illness targeting residents of Ratnanagar Ward No. 4 and neighboring areas. The program was hosted by New Capital College.

The team of Beautiful Mind led by Consultant Neuropsychiatrist Dr. Giri Raj Bhantana steered the schedule through talk programs, discussions, slideshow presentations and information & interaction sessions.

Various topics relating to Mental Health, Mental Illness, Drug and Alcohol Abuse, Symptoms, Solutions, Nursing Care, Holistic Management of Mental Illness, Treatment, Rehabilitation, Employment, Relapse Prevention, Negligence, Stigma, Roles etcetera were the main highlights of the program.

The active involvement of the participants, their concerns and curiosities validated the significance of such awareness program on Mental Health. As the premier resource person, team of Beautiful Mind felt that such mass awareness program should be promoted in order to improve the Psycho-education on Mental Health. Beautiful Mind family acknowledges that such mass awareness programs will be pivotal in minimizing the forthcoming disastrous onset due Mental Illness.

As a part of clinical practicum posting(Psychiatry), 17 nurses from Shree Medical and Technical College, Bharatpur, Chitwan studying in the second year of Post Basic Bachelor in Nursing Science attended Beautiful Mind Institute of Psychiatry for two weeks to enhance their knowledge on Mental Health and Psychiatry. They got to interact directly with the patients as a part of their research and learn various aspects about mental health and its holistic management via open discussion and sharing session with Consultant Neuropsychiatrist Dr. Giri Raj Bhantana .
